Ofgem - Glasgow Office Fit Out
We carried out this office fit-out for the energy regulator Ofgem, at their offices in Commonwealth House, Glasgow. The remit was unusual in that the office was already up and running but required reconfiguration and updating in response to new ways of working, adopted due to Covid 19, through the provision of more meeting rooms and larger, more open collaborative spaces and upgraded ventilation.
Features of the new design and layout include: a new meeting space referred to as “Speakers Corner” where staff can gather for meetings or presentations that can be socially distanced if required; pods and booths for individual quiet working and hot-desking and new meeting rooms of various sizes featuring double glazed Ocula walls and doors, with digital booking system incorporated.
Decoratively, large Scottish themed digital prints are used to bring the “outdoors in” and Autex felt panels were used throughout as a feature, while also serving a practical role in sound absorption. Autex felt was also employed in ceiling fins and meeting room partitions for aesthetic and sound absorption purposes.
